Trickling Spring Farm

About the farm

This has been a working farm for generations. We took it on with the intention of growing food for the people who live nearby, and of farming in a way that could carry on indefinitely.

That means paying attention to the soil first. Healthy ground grows healthy plants, which feed healthy animals, which feed us. Everything else follows from that.

What that looks like

Rotational grazing, so no pasture is eaten twice before it has recovered. Cover crops through the winter. Compost rather than synthetic fertiliser. No routine antibiotics.

We are happy to answer questions about any of it. Ask us when you visit.
